Not the best photos of her, i'll get some more at some point. She is very 'direct' Those pics were taken the other way around, i opened the box, and as soon as she saw the rabbits, started chattering and leapt out of the box to 'have it' with them I've seen her try to climb a tree we have dead rabbits hanging on. She's a wee bit obsessed. I am hopefully having a litter from her this year (in 2 weeks), my first in a long time, to keep the blood line going and get in some new troops! She has a look of our cheryl who's in kit now, will try get a pic up tomorow Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Jamie - we're pretty lucky, we mostly get bolts, not too many digs. That white jill ruby tends to drag them about and make them bolt, rather than kill, but if she does it's kill, stay long enough to mark, then she's out, so it's handy, if it's an impossible to dig situation. One wierd thing, when ours get a bottled up bunny they take the eyes first and see if that makes them bolt The big hole you see, is for TWO slipped collars, one at about 6/7 foot and one at 8/9. We only got the one back Kittle - Yer i need to get a wee cheap camera i can take out, thing is i'm always fecking covered in mud and muck, and i reckon it would be broke no time. Also i'd probably never remember to take any, we always seem to be pretty 'active' in our ferreting, pretty much none of it is on flat fields. But it's my resolution for this season, i'm out pretty much everyday, and this season thats all the photos, taken on maybe 3 or 4 seperate days My other resolution is to make the missus come out more and bring HER camera Quote Link to post

Thats only a couple of outings mate and no real good bags, the best bag there is probably with the young lad holding the whippet, never been out with a dog, ferret or anything before. Got woke up by a knock on my door, his grandfather asking me if i could take him out. Right then! Straight in the truck and up to a wee horse field for less than an hour, fell on 8 bunnies in two sets, pup caught a bolter (while tied to a shovel if you remember? ), and i think we have another convert to ferreting. Then i went back to bed. I'm definatly going to get a proper camera again for this season so i can take some decent photos, mainly of the scenery, as some of it is pretty impressive! And we do get some pretty decent bags. Jamie - sounds like you like your ferret like i like mine, seperated Ruby off today in her new nursery cage, hope all goes well, and the line shall continue. We will have kits, their mum, their mums litter sister, their dad, their dads litter brother, and a jill that was born to their dads mums sister and their dads dad, if that makes sense? I only have 1 ferret that is not some how part of this extended family. Quote Link to post
