Most of the people you see trotting about the beach or country i would think are riding schools which should only letting novices on near bombproof ponies. A person who hasn't much experience riding and handling horses shouldn't be let near a fresh horse, it's like learning to drive in a F1 car and will end in tears. jigsaw 11,865 Posted May 6, 2011 Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 heres the results of me taking horses for granted.I walked these fields hundreds of times and the horses are used to people,this time the foal came over to us from way across the field.The mare was not impressed when they had a little chat.The pup spent over a week in sick bay after it and lost its 3 front teeth permanently.I wont make the same mistake again.after 30 + years in the countryside it was the 1st time I had an encounter like so. Thankfully he made a full recovery,I considered culling him at one stage as he didnt look as if hed make it. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
