rossy08 33
Now for the past couple of summers if been helping a freind out with her garden, cutting the large lawn digging borders ect ect, as its a bit much for her now and cant deal with the heavy mower.. we were chatting the other night when she started complaining about the stupid amounts of pigeons crapping all over her new garden furnitur and washing,,,well my dear there are ways and means,,,,, oh would you Andy,,,,,,of corse i will, ill bring the rifle with me this tuesday when i come to cut the lawn after work. so after doing the garden out came the rifle, rifle zeroed check,,,,pigeon in tree check,,,,thwak,,one dead pigeon,,,,look on Tanyas face pricless, think she enjoyed it more than i did, two more pigeons later and i was about to put the rifle away to retire for a game of darts, when who turns up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,mr egg robbing git ,,mr magpie... i had to wait for him to move around the top of the tree a little so that i could use the trunk as a back stop,,,thwak, a very satisfied me watched him tumble stone dead from the top, only to hit a few branches and land in next doors garden, good job Tanya and myself are good freinds with the owner, put the rifle down and popped my head over the fence only to be meet with two pairs of very gratfull looking eyes... damm it them cats must have been waiting at the bottom of the tree with the mouths open. so rifle away quick drive round to the house, hello duk,,,a magpie iv just shot landed your side of the fence and i think your cats might be helping them selves to it,,so after a little chuckel i was in the garden chaceing two cats about to retrive the maggie, much to the amusment of Tanya and Fler who were sat watching me be out witted by two young cats, ,,,,,like nijas they were honest....lol. i got it in the end and left the cats with a few of the feathers which they seamed more than happy to continue to play with... wasent quite the way id planned it to happen, had foxes run off with rabbits befor but never cats with magpies.... hay ho,theres always a first. atb Andy 1 Quote Link to post
