Guest houndblair Posted February 12, 2007 Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 Asing lots of people are bolting younger rabbits and ferreting pregnent rabbits (i caught 2 pregent ones yesterday) I was thinking what is everyone going to in the wait for ferreting to start up again! woodchip 2 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Share Posted February 12, 2007 (edited) ill be shooting on my land and going up to epsom to see my mate who is a game keeper and shooting on the 1000 acres loads of bunnies and parrotkeets to cull OH and helping my local building supplier with there pigeon problem.. Im interested in geting a whippet or a whippetxgrey for ferreting and if I get a longdog or lurcher, I suppose I should start lamping aswel, would you recomend them? yes mate there spot on for ferreting ,lamping lots of speed and stamina . the 3\4 whippet 1\4 greyhound i had a few years ago was the best dog iv ever owned mate she would hunt up and bush all day long , marked holes and sat at the side of me when ferreting waiting to pin the rabbits in the nets as they bolted only fault with her was her skin , in the vets on a monthy bases il put up some pics of the pups for you soon as mate ,good hunting fezz Quote Link to post
