love the look of a first x collie grey expecially bryn...

do all collie crosses stalk rabbits and is this a bad thing,

He's a stunner isn't he.

From what i seen they usually all do to a certain degree over their lives.

Bad thing? Depends how good they are at it and what you want.

I love watching that old bitch of johnnyboys creeping in on one.

They just seem to know what is necessary to get the bunny in the bag, and i'd be happy to leave that to the dog, it's got to be a better hunter than the man.

How's milly and lady? And your lady and baby?

:icon_eek: My bitch has never stalked a rabbit in her life  not that I've seen anyway. She will creep on some led tight in cover but thats just to position herself better.

I've seen a few "stalk" squatters on the lamp BUT not my bitch.

It was badly worded mate.

It should have read - the one's i have seen have all done it to a certain degree.

And a lot of folk that i have spoken to about their own dogs, have also said it.

I've obviously not seen all of the collie x's in the world.

I was however thinking about 'stalking' rabbits in general, rather than stalking in on the lamp.

Apologise for any confusion caused

Nope Comanche i didnt realise how similar they were until i brought the little one home, think my sub-conscious mustve played a part in the choosing of the pup. is that your youngster in the photos?

Yep. Those rather blurred pictures were from last year when he was about 10 and a half months .He was still in his catch and release stage having not realised that if he didn't keep his mouth shut tight enough during the retrieve the rabbit would wriggle free :icon_redface: . He's better now ,thank goodness !.

Probably see you about before summer is over
