matt_hooks 188
There's no "land permission form" as such. A letter from the land owner stating that they give you permission to shoot x caliber, to take x game/vermin, over land at x location should be plenty. Quote Link to post
Aaron_butcher 17
my firearms officer said (because i dont have an open ticket) if i want to shoot on any land i have to print off said form and sent it to the police so that they can check the lands suitability etc etc Quote Link to post
halamrose 24
It doesn't matter what the letter of the law is, it's so much easier to work with the form they want than to try and argue it with them. H Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Adam, that's not entirely true. The condition will be "land that has been approved by the chief officer of police of the area that the land is in." That means that if the land has been checked previously you don't need to get it checked again. Ask the land owner if the land has been checked, or phone the firearms department of the area and ask. All approved land should be on a database that all forces have access to. As an aside, if you want to get the restrictive condition removed it's good for them to see that you have checked lots of land. They don't need to see any permission letters for them or anything like that, but asking about lots of places (under the assumption you have permission to shoot them) goes towards showing good reason for removing the restrictive land condition.
