Kye 77
Hi mate,.. I left England with two bags of clothes, and a terrier...never even been abroad before, never been on a plane...i was shitting myself, i tell thee!...no friends or family over here, nothing. In the long run, it was the best decision of my life, but after i first landed, and had gone through about six months, to say i was home sick was an understatment...theres still not a day go buy that i dont think of 'Home'...plus i wasnt allowed back until my green card was sorted...that was 2 1/2 years!.. I love Great Britain,...but because of the Goverment, its no longer Great...i wish i could visit again, but i just cant afford it... ...but thats life. If i can do it, then you and your whole family can do it..atleast you will have your family there...plus the hunting in OZ is probably some of the best in the world... Kye,.. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Ok, Simon. I don't f*ck about. Ye parents? They'll likely be dead inside twenty five years. Where will you be then? And why? Brood over that one, mate. Just before I got out (granted, I came to Eire. Nothing for me in Oz) I was living in Hull. John Prescott's home town. He put these black and blue anoracked idiots on the street. " Civic Wardens ", I think they called them? ' Get off that bike. Put that fag out. Pick that fag end up! '. The comming britain? Animal Welfare Act? Nuff said. Surely to god?! Can ye seriously believe that, within a decade or so, the arsepca won't have bought their way into the position of " Animal Police " ? Oz has BSL. So does Eire and every other country where english is spoken that I know of. Well, there it is. But there's a world of differance in a nasty, small, cramped island where everyone's getting more embittered and looking for a scape goat - and living in a place where ye can still choose to live away from Anyone. Read the walls, Simon. Friends? In this day and age mate, we've all lost enough friends through a sim card or hard drive crash. I stepped out of my city of birth and never once looked back. Walked away from all I'd ever known in my life. Headed for a town I knew nothing of. Bought a house from an estate agents photo. It was a piece of piss! Then I jumped ship and came to a country I knew shit about. Bought a property from a photograph. Been here pushing the full year now. I've simply become part of the fabric. Never looked back. Best damn thing I ever done. If asked to encapsulate all I've done? I guess I'd call it 'Getting on with my life.' I've done good. I've " Made It. " So can you, Simon. Get out. Go to Oz. Guest baldie
You have to live your life for YOU, YOUR WIFE AND KIDS mate, not your parents or other close family, you soon wont find anywhere is this overcrowded island, where you can escape the rat race, and have a few acres of land etc, because they are either owned by extremely rich townies, or they are being built on as we speak. There is nothing left in this country for our kind anymore.Look at all the oap,s legging it....my mother and father went to france because of the immigrant situation here, and my father being treated as a second class citizen, when it came to healthcare, a system he,d paid into all his life. They will have to change this country,s name soon, because there wont be any british left in it.Unfortunatly, the wife wont emigrate, or i would have been gone like a shot, i hate and detest this country with a passion. Get out mate, whilst you have the chance, or i guarantee you will regret it.

kiwi 4
you all paint a sad picture of your homeland then tell me why when you poms move to another country you suddenly get all patriotic again , the pictures i have seen of the uk have been very stunning and i can see why they made nz to look like england. i travel to aussie about three times a year and enjoy the warmer weather etc but reckon the place is getting worse, the place is filling up with asians faster than they can unload the boats, gun ownership is hard and the hunting is not really that easy to get, and the places you can find seem to be 8 hrs drive away. there are good area's in oz and i enjoy my visits everytime but it is not the hunting and fishing eldorado i thought it would be, wages and the cost of living is pretty good though and the reason why so many kiwi's live there. markbivvy 6
then tell me why when you poms move to another country you suddenly get all patriotic again thats not just an English thing mate, when i worked in London all the kiwi,s where the biggest home sick moaners i met. not having a dig by the way, its just the way it is. kiwi 4
yeah having that 2 year work permit for kiwi's is a great way to teach the young guys how great new zealand really is, most go over to drink piss and have a good time, the smart ones save there money and set them selves up for life when they return, i guess living in a place like coronation street after being born n breed in godzone would make you homesick, but on the plus side at least they return home, same can't be said for alot of poms they die over here still whingeing and homesick for a country that sounds like no longer exists. kiwi 4
nz is way cheaper to buy a house in, most poms are mortage free when they arrive after the exchange rate, cars and utes are cheaper and the hunting is sooooooooooooooo much better mate, no snakes or spiders to worry about and don't even get me started on the fishing
Guest craftycarper
Go for it mate, not for you but for the little uns, this country has had it. DiStuRBeD 0
prices of houses has skyrocketed in perth mate, our house in 2 years has gone up 75% having said that, from what ive seen of the UK on these forums, tis a nice place, but i'd rather be here 100 times more then there, this place is huge, if you want 8000 acres you can buy it, with houses on in areas for $500,000 whcih woudl be about 200,000 pounds. cant beat that!! or move to a city, plenty of work, i'd rather a englishman then an asian anyday(you will find a lot of aussies like that too, must be because we had a white australia policy in government and a lot of ppl think that way), atleast you assimilate with us. were a friendly mob, help anyone, tho its not as good as it used to be. ask anyone whos come here, they all like it, IMO you cant go wrong, but its your opinion that matters see ya here
