Tomo, I thought Adelaide was a great city, the cental market, restuarants and the tram down to the coast was a really good feature. Adelaide was my second choice of place to migrate to, what swung it was me having a cousin and friends in Perth also the work situation there and your right Perth is a beautiful city with the big swan river flowing through it. Simoman 110 Posted February 15, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 15, 2007 well as some of you know i have just been to both OZ and N.Z loved them both, but the mrs prefered n.z. perth is without dowt the most beautifull city i have ever been to and i hate city's loads of work there and a great lifsyle. now then Adalaide is often called a boring city and that might be so, but again its on the coast and about 2 hours out of there on the road to sydney i saw loads and loads of game for miles and miles. fecking millions of rabbits hares foxes roos , so im afraid that settled it for me . live on the coast at adalaide and find out who the feck owns that land also my mrs just this week went on web site called... prime location . com there are some stunning brand new bungalos £110.000 with 4 beds and 2 baths check them out fecking stunning. N.Z IS FAR MOOR BEAUTIFULL ,but of couse its a very diffrent landscape like kiwi has said hunting is easier . i found out in the gunshop that you can hunt on government land 365 days a year and there is no close season on ferral animals baring in mind that all mammals in N.Z are ferral . loads of deer pigs goat ect . its a tuff call mate but get going wich ever country. just as a footnote here they are calling out for cops in OZ . and western OZ were paying for brits to emigrate getting them acomadation , paying all the cost to relocate, some were doing the training then just leaving after the traing period. that said i think the cops get about $70- .000 a year so good money Hi Tomo, We loved Perth but job opportunities were better in NSW although Adelaide has become an option. I'm afraid they'll find Kal very different but we're nice people!! Perth has just had a major boom- houses going up everywhere, house prices going up everywhere (good for me!) it's mellowing out now but. Pick the right spot or else the hunting areas will end up to far to drive to regualrly- if you know the right people or employment agency jobs are easy to get- Mining is paying $100,000+ year and are always looking for new blood.No experience necessary. WA is great but we are more limited to what species we hunt -foxes, rabbits (roos,emus) are everywhere, pigs are a little harder to get but not impossible. NSW is alot closer to everything- drive up to QLD, closer to VIC for deer, I can attest to NSW having plenty of hares (plenty of people want me to come back and get rid of the bloody things for them) just need to start breeding them in WA. Government seems to be getting a little anal on dog breeds/ hunting dogs in certain states but like disturbed said its a bloody big state and nothing England hasn't already done. Most city slickers in Australia wouldn't know what a lurcher or even a terrier was for so you shouldn't have a drama with having them around (no stealing or questioned) I haven't heard of anyone being pulled up with dogs unless they've been reported for poaching or blazing guns around where they shouldn't be. Get a couple of acres, big house- kids'll love it, go swimming like you said- us West Australians could hook you up with a farmer or someone with property to get foxes on. blackdug 90 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Share Posted February 16, 2007 my cousin is coming back next month after 10 years says he is bored and is fed up listening to us all having a good time over the phone ,things are changing in oz, house prices sky high,food and beer prices same as here,,i used to go stay with him for 3 months every year and bricklay for him and every year it changed in my eyes for the worst .as for having no pakis, no they have got lebo,s worse..the place looks like china there is that many asians there.i had a few chances to stay and honestly can say i don,t regret a thing been all over from banana plantations in queensland to building sites in perth,i never once found the job market stable except when the olmpics were in sydney,,always left me with a bad feeling about the place when i thought about staying ...if i was to pick anywere though it would be north queensland what a mad place pig huntin and growin lou reed,,good old life.. FECKING STUPID FECKING WANKERS .there are a number of difrent companies responcibe for the diffrent toll roads , and you need this tagg thingy to go on them . BUT this the stupid bit they let you on in the first place . now cos your a turist you dont know any of this stuff . then you get a fine wich goes to the car hire place . who in turn make you loose your deposit cos they dont find out till you have left the country. then they have your card details and deduct it from your bank . and to cap it all there is not 1 companie responcible for the toll roads . but about 3 i think and they dont interact with one another. so you could get 3 lots of fines if your not carfull. it would be so much easier just to have toll booths. : thats it for the mo . like a said there only daft ones , and to be honest if i had the chance i would most probly go.
