I've spent a lot of time traipsing around europe, into some pretty random places, and met a lot of people and spoken to a lot and heard too many stories. And i can tell you, in general most of the atrocities were WORSE than we thought, or at best, as bad as we feared.

I know what your saying buddy, some of it could be debated, but what chance do you reckon you have of that one?

 

But personally i would accept fully that there were gas chambers, maybe not as many as said, but plenty.

 

And anyway, there were enough different ways that they killed people, and enough people killed, that arguing whether one happened a lot or a bit, is kind of academic.

What the SS did to the Jews/Gypsies/Slavs/disabled in WW2 was genocide and ought rightly be remembered.

HOWEVER, the Japs killed just as many Chinese and SE Asians in WW2 in their camps and slaughters.

HOWEVER the Russians killed MORE fellow Russians/Ukranians etc than the Germans and Japs did together!

 

 

A shame that, of those 3 instances of horrific Genocide, the only one we remember is the one nearest to us geographically.

How about all the russian soldiers they got back from german POW camps and then immediatly sent to gulags in siberia so they could not spread any western ideas they had picked up in russia.

must have been crazy living in those days.i have to add aswell they talk about the brutality of the SS f**k the russian soldier was no better.the rape and looting they did in the taking of berlin was horrendous.but im guessin all sides had thier fair share of not playing by the rules.we never learnt anything from it thats for sure.you only need to look at bosnia,but i dont need to tell you anything about that jai.

You're right. I mentioned only the WW2 ones cos they happened at the same time.

There have been plenty of occurances. Rwanda in 1994 was one of the worst. All we saw on tv news was the World Cup in USA despire the fact that in Africa nearly a million were killed within 4 months. :sick:

I saw a newsclip on Sky news live during that 'war' in Rwanda, a clip that was only ever shown once i think, before it was deleted from the schedule. In the clip the cameraman walked up a street full of dead bodies following a battle. However upon closer inspection they weren't bodies, they were pieces of bodies: Half bodies, torsos, arms, heads. Upon further inspection, they weren't even all men of fighting age and worst of all, they weren't even all human. The piles and scatters were a mixture of human and animal body parts all slung together with no distincion between man and beast. They behaved like savages in Rwanda during that 'war' and we all watched the world cup in America instead. :sick:
