HELP MEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Well today i recevied me nikko 6x40 mountmaster AO!! good shit i hear you say!!

 

why the f**k cant i zero it in at all??????????

 

its off to the right everytime even with a full turn on the left!!

 

is there any advice for a novice like myself?

 

my standard BSA scope f*****g does a better job!!

yeah, everythings alligned correctly. surely it can have taken a knock in the post it was bubble wrapped to f**k!!!

 

maybe its just me having a few beers and getting annoyed easily

If your scope is putting the pellets hitting right of centre, when the windage turret is full over left? Send it back, it's duff mate.

 

A good test is to zero the scope centre-to-centre then, move the windage turrets to left, counting the clicks till you reach the fullest extent. You should be able to count the same number of clicks back to centre and put a pellet through your zero. Do the same to right and same again to up/down elevation turret.

 

If your scope cannot do any of this, there really is something wrong internally.

Are you useing the same mounts as your BSA scope?

 

If you are and the adjustment was OK for that then it sounds like you've maybe got a duff scope, as has been said.

 

Sometimes cheap mounts aren't too well made and can be out of line and the mounts on the 'Mountmaster' don't tend to be exactly top quality kit so maybe that may could your problem.

 

Also try swapping the mounts around, take the front clamp and swap it with the back one. Be sure to keep the screws on the same side when trying this though, otherwise it'll make no difference

also whats that screw about on my rear mount that sticks out so i cant actually mount it on my rails? ( i took it out).

 

theres me thinking YEAH NEW SEXY SCOPE, better not be duff and be a rookie mistake hahaha!!!

i think the screw you took out is to stop the scope from creeping back

 

i would put it back in then locate rear scope mount hard up against this screw i may be wrong though

The screw is the recoil arrestor stud that fits the arrestor hole/s at the rear of your rifle and stops the scope creeping back under recoil.

 

I hope you don't take this as being rude or anything but, are you aware that scope windage-turret dials are set in opposite-sense action?

 

You need to turn you windage dial to left in order to move the reticle to bear shot-right...and vice versa. So, the further you turn the turret dial left....

 

Just making sure you know before you send it back. We all make honest mistakes
