coney clucky 93 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 hi mates just been given 14 month old whippetxgreyhound to be honest its not my cup of tea but my son wanted a dog and i ne cash so i got this black bitch she stands 24 tts not done much but me son buzzin my pall said its bred out of dogs from scotland and well bred she called bonny and as a air rifle pellet lodged in her back which the vets dont want to remove any info on this bitch id be gratefull also what u lads think of this cross never had this type before Quote Link to post

Got a 23" bitch(1/2 grey, 3/8 whippet, 1.8th deerhound and had a litter off her last year and kept a bitch pupback. I bred her with a 3/4 grey, 1/4 whippet in the hope of getting a bit more size in the pup and she's as tall as the dam now so think she's still got an inch or two to go.Great dogs imo. vld 62 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 think you get lucky with injuries mine been a nightmare, just bad luck she thrown fine to the sire whippet fine boned, gutted really I feel pretty lucky regarding injuries - she's coming up 7 now and ripped her chest on barbed wire (could happen to any breed) and had to have her front right outer toe off but that's been it. She's got quite tight feet and her fur isn't thin and whippety its got a kind of downy undercoat to it (almost a bit fluffy underneath) so its quite thick - sh'es 42lb so quite a solid bitch. The pup I kept back has the same fur and feet, so fingers crossed. Quote Link to post

The pup I kept back has the same fur and feet, so fingers crossed. this one ive got for me son is fine boned as well mate got funny sort of coat black but tinge of brown downy fur undercoat seems keen nice temper people on here seem to rate them up to now anyway never had one this way bred so looking forward to giving it ago i allways fancied apure greyhound and bring on like a lurcher from start this just looks like mini one so heres goes Quote Link to post
