bouncer 51 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 i bought my .222 a few years ago off my cousin and the mod has never been taken off so i tried to take it off for the first time bt it seems very tight any ideas how i can get it off without damaging the gun or mod cheers. I done the same and the only way was HOLD TIGHT AND TURN! I was lucky my crown was still in tact, so the sooner you get it off the better. It's easier to have two people, one to hold one to twist. fireblade_rrw 20 Posted April 30, 2011 Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 Classic error - all moderators should be taken off, cleaned & oiled after ever use. I keep mines in a lightly oiled cloth and the barrel slightly lubricated with silicon grease. Comes off and on with no problem. Reason I do this is a friend of mine (a gunsmith) showed me the results of a seized on T8 moderator. - not nice ! Quote Link to post
