laser dot sights

Recommended Posts

The laser dots and holographic sights are fine for very close range stuff, where ultra fast target acquisition and point and shoot are important, for example on pistols or SMG's. For hunting at any sensible range there's no real point. If you have a very good laser, and are very disciplined, you can turn it into a passable range finding tool for an air rifle, but a LRF is probably cheaper and easier to use, requiring no mental arithmetic.

The only time a laser dot is a good tool for airgun hunting is possibly in close range ratting, otherwise don't bother. Particularly, don't be fooled by the cheapo options, you'll just be disappointed!
