For hunting at any sensible range there's no real point. If you have a very good laser, and are very disciplined, you can turn it into a passable range finding tool for an air rifle, but a LRF is probably cheaper and easier to use, requiring no mental arithmetic. The only time a laser dot is a good tool for airgun hunting is possibly in close range ratting, otherwise don't bother. Particularly, don't be fooled by the cheapo options, you'll just be disappointed! Quote Link to post
