Wouldnt touch one with a barge pole JMO

just wondring if you have ever owned one , ive matched mine with mates dogs of all breeding on most things , inluding bull x's , collie x's ect saluki x's and i still prefer my deerhound/greyhound , its each to there own and what sort of land you work , i lamp big feilds therefore my deerhound x is ideal to run all night , i have a whippet x also which works little fields and ferreting. but i mainly take the deerhound out as more stamina ect and will get more runs with him than my little bitch. both of my dogs see work though .

The only decent deerhound blooded dogs Ive seen have had a large dash of something else ie saluki, bull, collie, bedlington jmo

yes Ive owned 1 yes Ive seen what people call good Deerhound lurchers run and I was highly dissapointed you could say a lot younger then I felt conned by the hype that surrounds this breed.Ime not saying they dont catch quarry but Ive seen other breeds do it a lot better, perhaps they suit people that take a great deal of sattisfaction out of just watching a dog run,but for those who want more they just dont cut the mustard.JMO
