Another interesting question would be, once you had seen and heard (from honest people) how top class dogs perform.....how much trouble do you have accepting second best? :thumbs:

So what your saying is that everyone should go about measuring their dogs against each others until they figure out who's is best and if theirs is 'good' compared to the best, and if it's not the best then they should be unhappy or disappointed with the dog? How come some folk ALWAYS spend their time thinking about how what they have compares to what others have , and others just spend their time enjoying what they have got and measuring it against what they have had.

Seeing top animals run is great, but it doesn't really make me jealous that mine is not 'top', as long as he is good enough for me and does what i ask, then i'm happy.

 

Like anything, there will always be someone who can do it better, and yer it's nice to be good at shit, but i'm not gonna cry or look at my dog as a failure, or have difficulty 'accepting' him if he isn't 'the best'.

 

Bettering yourself and your line is good and a thing to strive for, and if that's what you mean then i fully agree, but i don't think the idea of desperatly and continuously comparing yourself or dogs to others is that hot.

 

Maybe i got the wrong meaning from your first post, but you sounded like a twat, whereas now you sound about right

I have been privelaged to have seen what I and others would class as a bitch who in her prime would be classed as a top bitch definately a bitch at the very top of her game .

This was many many years ago before we had to look over our shoulder now this bitch was nothing specail to look at but myself and everyone that saw this bitch work all agreed she was a bit specail and had that knack of reading quarry .

You would not meet a more placid bitch but when she had to deal with anything she done it effectively and quick .

.I witnessed this bitch put around 700 roe in the bag which was her favoured quarry but she also took many foxes hare and rabbits over the years .

So to reply to the origonal question this was the best dog ive seen perform a real classy bitch
