furgle 14 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 I"ve seen plenty of dogs that were good at there owners chosen sport ie coursing or lamping etc but how many good allround dogs have you seen, dogs that you could take out for a run at long ears but would just as easily turn its hand to a bit of mooching/bushing or wander round a farm and hunt rats and then take a day out with the ferrets marking sets and picking up bolters that slipped or missed a net and even spend a night on the lamp and put bunnies in the bag. A propper all round lurcher!!! see i agree with this YES there are real good dogs out there for certain things and every one will big there own dogs up but personally im happy with a little all round mooching dog that will work day/night take black tip rabbits and the odd ginger feller as well as work the nets whilst ferreting but dogs ive seen theres a pretty long list i would call good dogs but not legendary Quote Link to post

She was bred by stat and many thought the litter would be too small for hares, as they only made about 23" max. But she killed hares for fun on the fen and often made them look easy.
