Has this dog just to run on the fens or does the saluki shit run the paddocks up here too, home and away affar?

Home and away be good to see if the fen dog could run up there and same for scots mans dog could run in the big land down there

You know the sad part about all this, im the only c**t that will get banned lol

just having a bit of banter mate, serious answer .my dog can (could)hold her own on large land,BUT the fens may be a bit of an ask regularly on january mornings, the travel required on a regular basis wouldnt be an option (for me) another question could be ,how many TOP coursing dogs could run the land in ,say,Ayrshire.is there a FEN dog to do such a task.an honest answer followed by an honest question

No one saying the fen hare is special but must have something if the best dogs in the country are getting tested on it any how that not what am saying.

I say it again do you think that a dog that just runs the big fields off England can go up to Scotland and catch hares with wall, gates ,ditches, fences etc etc in its way.

I don't see how it could to be honest. Some of the fences up here need to be seen to be believed. Why does a farmer need a double barbed wire fence

Exactly mate. Stamina isn't the first quality you need up here. If a dog can't go up the gears quick, forget it.

yip i ment brown hares single handed between december and febuary

Why does it have to be December to February???? When the season starts in September.

OH DEAR !!!

Oh dear what answer the question??? Because if they where all that soft how do they make it to dec feb then????

All you hear on here form coursing men it has to be dec feb hare but when you catch few at end feb there soft because there going into breeding .What l can take from it is you coursing men only hunt 2 half months a year

FS icey dont let the flag down :duh:

i do a bit of rabbit lamping these days, but my 2 coursin dogs struggle when it comes to hedges and fences,so i can tell you daytime if they where in scotland where these fences are they would pull up left right and centre and they run the fens from pups
