Fox cubs

Had a nice pair with a young bitch this morning and then did a nice handy earth and the bitch brought these out.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Definately the earliest I've had in a long time, popped them back in as far as we could, watch them crawl away and then left them to it.

She only brought the two out and we got her coupled up, she dropped the first one at the hole end and was back in before we could catch her, wasn't expecting it. The vixen will most likely move them mate, but I have had it happen before and gone back after a few weeks and sat and watched them, so there's every chance they'll be alright, I'll be checking on these in about a month, I like to see them playing in the evening.

A few weeks ago we were bumping into foxes everywhere, now it's gone quite and that could be the reason...the vixens are keeping their heads down away from their usual places of residence and resting up due to the impending litter. Though having said that, we had a fox in the trap this morning and had another on its feet later. Look at the position of the ears on those cubs, right down the side of the head. Amazing that they will end up almost on top of their heads when they're fully grown.

could this be global warming foxes gone like ghosts down this way to the boys dont realy start digging my way till november when all the firn dies back if cubs get born early febuary this gives us 12 weeks hunting you find a litter tell no one feed them help them and come autum when you go and try your young terrier or lurcher youl find some twat has beat you to it with a .222 and hang them on a fence for you to see f*****g wankers

had a little russell that had a real hatred for foxes. she once bolted a vixen and then lay with the cubs in an old dump. good sportsmen

Earliest cubs Ive been told about were New Years Day,in an artificial earth .Never saw them myself though .

you can argue about this alnight ..but to some lads its there job why should they leave more work for next year to risk more birds getting killed ...and to some lads its there sport ..and leave some sport for next year......its not up to anbody to decide just the men who work that ground iam not saying i agree with it and iam not saying i dont ...but who am i to judge.. and who are you to judge.... all the best...
