My new night vision project

OK this is the kit i used.

Yukon Digital Night Vision Ranger 5x42

12v 240 DC/ LCD TV/DVD Player

5" TFT LCD TV and Monitor 12V

MP-101-v360 Power Panner Pan Tilt 360°

MP-101 / MP-101 v360 Power Panner Extension Cable

Revue Tripod head

5m 3 RCA Phono Audio Video Cable

Split charge relay 30A for charging 2nd battery 12V

car 12v cig socket 4 way cigarette

DC - DC Converter car 12V TO 1.5V 3V 4.5V 6V 7.5V 9V

Two lightforce IR 170 lamps (The 170 lightforce lamps i use are dedicated ir, cut the plastic lens out leaving 1/4" edge and than masticed an ir 850nm filter in)

 

some DIY needed , make a bracket for the lightforce lamps, mig weld a 4" bar to the roof rack,

Vehicle is a land rover discovery 7 seater near side rear seat has been taken out and large sun roof put in with detachable glass, Driver can spot with remote control and watch the 5" monitor and shooter in the back seat watching the 10.5" monitor.

Total cost under £700

Geoff that's very impressive mate :thumbs: do you have window blackouts with them screens in the 4x4 ?

 

Great if you have lots of ground you can drive around, i bet that set up makes it much easier and saves a lot of time driving searching too .

Its good old Norfolk so very flat, 80% of my shoot is drivable, around 3000 acres also being so flat its best to shoot off the top of the vehicle for safety

Yes all rear windows are blacked out, its just great that the driver can watch everything, i do a fair bit of driving and it can be a bit tedious as to not knowing whats going on, but also good when parked up in a baited area, doing another set up this week for a keeper.

and large sun roof put in with detachable glass,

 

you by any chance got a makers name for the sunroof, not been having any luck finding a removable one

Went to my local breakers yard and got two from a people carrier,one in the front and one in the rear, so had both just in case i broke the glass one day, easy to fit and cost me £75
