Exactly pal. It's ok to be annoyed that some people get off with things while the tax paying majority don't but that's our fault not theres. I'm envious of there lifestyle just doing what they want when they want, note I said envious not jealous, worlds apart. It's the British way, we get annoyed that Europe introduced the smoking ban and we are the only clowns implementing it. We are good at moaning and f**k all else if you ask me.

That about sums it up,and for most that will include nicking a working mans tools,or dogs or heating oil,or what ever aint tied down. But hey if that turns you on.

 

I'm not envious of everything they do,I like to wash lol, joke. I do envy there carefree lifestyle though. There was a post on here before regarding just moving and camping and living life as you like. If life wasn't so complicated I'd do it in a heartbeat. Btw, I don't like them the same as others but will fight for the rights for anyone to do something that they were allowed to do only a couple of years ago.

I think hare coursing was banned because of idiots like these. Did they think of their fellow hunters when running hares on any land they felt like up and down the country. Threatening landowners/farmers with arson/violence? And people knowing they could do nothing about it because the law 'wont' touch them!

Some wealthy landowners with friends in high places, the ban was an ideal opportunity to get something done.

 

And why do you think they prefer coursing......Money. Got nowt to do with a passion for hunting and fellow hunters.

Not sure if you watched the documentry Moll, about these 2 travellers mentioned above?, but they were doing it for the sport and for the pot, not money.

They also asked permission from the farmer, who said yes.

I was referring more to an earlier statement regarding the hunting ban, and hunters sticking together.

 

On another note though, i would not believe anything on the TV anyway. The media is currently pro travellers, this will dictate all media coverage until they then decide anti traveller sells more stories

The Scottish Countryside Alliance gave up they're appeal in Scotland in support of hunting with dogs because their appeal was badly drafted/worded and what was then the new, current legislation allows a full pack of hounds to be used in the pursuit of the fox as long as its your intention to shoot the quarry! they sacrificed hare coursing as a compromise knowing the ignorant and uneducated general public would find such a compromise acceptable

 

None of the fieldsports organistions here gave a feck about the lurcher and terrier men? it always was a case of what was perceived as being eletist in Scotland, that had more than a fair share of our financial rescources spent on it.

 

I have always been proud of my celtic roots and culture! I wonder if there's any traveller influence in the family tree

He didnt give them permission to hunt hares he said there were plenty of rabbits about
