IrishNationalCountryFairs 1
As well as staging one of the best Lurcher, Terrier and Whippet events, just look at some of what else is on offer for the whole family at the MOIRA GAME FAIR on 28 & 29 May, including lots of new activities for the younger fair goers to participate in!! http://www.gamefairireland.com/families.html REMEMBER: Lurcher & Terrier Events have ringside parking and no need to pay into fair to enter your dogs into the racing and showing. If accompanied by an adult, children under 15 get in FREE to the main fair event.

We do have a lot more for this year for younger and older children coming to the show. Our focus is very much on a game fair for the whole family and encouraging the younger generation to become involved in as many forms of country sports as possible from as young an age as possible. With regards to the ferret racing, yes your children can bring along their own ferrets. One of the forum members had kindly sponsored some prizes for this event. Finally, in relation to the judging of the Lurchers & Terriers, the club involved in running this event at Moira always organise the judges themselves. They do so in a very professional manner and have never let us down to date. I have no reason to believe they will this year either. Preparations are running well, so we look forward to seeing all you Lurcher & Terrier competitors at the show at the end of May and hope you enjoy your time there. Refreshments are all inside the main fair site but we're sure most of you will want to have a look around the stands and attractions anyway. The family area has hot food stalls, hog roast, crepes, seafood, ice-cream, beer tent and pleny of music and other entertainment. The funfair is also in the family area so for any of you with children this will keep them entertained too. The Gilford Club have a great show lined up and we hope you all enjoy it.
