pernod 466
Go for it mate, If you cant be arsed to read up on the breed, and read a few of the terrier posts on here to help you decide what type/breed of terrier would best suit your working needs, then i'm sure you'll get what you deserve. Cheers Pernod Quote Link to post
Malt 379
I wouldn't bother mate, the breed is anything but a working breed these days. What do you intend working with it? Quote Link to post

Cheers mate, thats what I needed to hear. The Mr.s liked the look of one for a pet and I wondered if they were still any good (altho they look fragile). Looked at some sites and didnt get much info. Thats why I asked on here. Quote Link to post

chartpolski 24,293
I would doubt that there are ANY Manchester Terriers with recent working blood in them, they've been ruined, like many other breeds, by the Kennel Club and the show people. If you want a terrier as a working dog, go for a Lakie, Fell, Patterdale, etc, or. if you can find a working bred one, go for a Bedlington... Any of them will be of far more use than a Manchester !! Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post

As said earlier I done a little when I was a kid and now 44 retiring soon(ish) and always been interested in field sports. So I will spare time on my hands (and it will keep me from the boozer). I live in the country now (in Scotland) so I will be looking at this site for tips and advice. Quote Link to post

Mosby 355
If it,s the look you like, try getting a black wippet that works,x it with a Black,n,Tan Lakie. You might just get what your looking for ? All the best in your Hunt.! If I were to try getting a manchester type that is the same road I'd take Quote Link to post
