JoeD 24
Too true mate, I like it fresh from the sea, with grilled crusty bread, then just grill the fish and drizzle witha chilli and olive oil sauce. Joe
Tomm Parr 30
I went to a mackerel festival one time, in la rochelle in france when i was much younger. It started at 8am, a few hours after the fisherman got in. everyone at the festival got a fresh sardine or mackerel, a dollop of freshly made tom sauce (made right there on the quay by some fishwives) and a crust of still warm, freshly baked french bread. Us and my parents' pals were the only english speaking families there; it was a real rustic festival. Gret food that cost, I think, 10 francs at the time, which was about 90p. yum
