For the record i f*****g love my whippet. BUT, the word BEST should be obliterated from any conversation about running dogs. It's just plain dumb. There is no one best breed or x for lamping fox, for

If your after a bit sport, a whippet will probably do you..but no way are they the best rabbit dog

do any of you lads have any pictures

Whippets make fair ferreting dogs, aye. And I like em.

But to be honest if I had the choice I go for a lurcher with a bit of collie or terrier in the mix.

My own personal favourite dog for the ferrets is collie/whippet/greyhound. TO watch her work on the burries is fantastic. Her ears are like radar dishes, she is constantly listening and instinctively knows when and wheer they are going to bolt. I dont think you get quite the same instinct with the whippet. But they catch them fair enough.

they are good rabbit dogs, but i wouldn't go as far as saying they are the best, i have a whippet here and done me pretty proud but they do lack in stamina, also golf courses can make a good dog look shite, plus all the hidden dangers on a golf course, ie bunkers etc, seen some bad accidents on them

if your just running on golf courses id say a whippet will be as good as any dog on rabbits.

once you leave a golf course its a diffrent matter 22 - 26 inch lurcher all day for rabbits.

i do have a chicken farm aswell but it is on a bank but it is and opened right up [bANNED TEXT]
