first time out

hi guys

 

went out to my first ever permission tonight, had a good look about when i stepped out the car, NOTHING lol. Set off anyway, about 100 yards infront of me 3 rabbits, but didnt want to shoot as really tonight was about learning my permission, where rabbits are for ambush ect. Following the edge of my permission i spotted a couple of deer, decided to stalk them for a while altho i had an air rilfe still great to learn to cover myself ect. Any way on the way round my permission i find a field which was newly drilled and pigeons everywhere, only issue no COVER atol lol just an open field. Moving on swiftly up ahead i see around 10 pigeons feeding in the grass look around again and BINGO some cover around 30 yrds from the pigeons, into prone position moving very slow over cow but owell this my only chance to get something. Finaly i reach where the cover is looking from the left of my cover i see the pigeons, i pick out 1 and line him up and he moves THEN he stops facing away from me i line up the back of his head and thwack, 1 flap then nothing YES im thinking now lol but rather than get over confident i leave it at that.
