cleaning ears

If the ear wax is dark red/brown, that's a pretty good sign of ear mites. Your ferret needs ivermectin. Use Beaphar Anti-Parasite Spot-On for Small Animals. It really is best to weigh your ferret to get the dosage right. Too much is an overdose, but too little won't kill them all (mites that is, not ferrets!). You can pick the Beaphar stuff up from Pets at Home.

 

Plus this stuff will also treat your ferret for ticks and roundworms as well as ear mites.

 

Put the spot-on on the scruff of the neck and leave away from other ferrets for a good few hours, longer the better, that way no ferrets can lick and ingest the stuff.

alright mate thanks,can you recommend best stuff to buy?ill take him to the vets if need be,but if its easy enough to do i dont mind.

i got some stuff called thornit which is for earmites and canker off ebay very good stuff and will last you a very long time think i paid £5 for it.

the pics are not the best,he was licking some ferret tone at the time,as for being livly lol hell yeah!!eats like fook and runs about in garden,jumps about and digs etc,also trys to break into the other hutch trying to get his way with the jill.if i thought he was ill he would be at the vet straight away
