Just wondering if any of you have had dealings with them..i posted off my fac application 5th April, havnt heard a peep yet, how long do they usually take? Or am i just getting too excited too quickly lol??

Herts Police Authority turned my first application round in a matter of weeks.

 

Variations are also carried out efficiently.

Well mine took eight days for my renewal to come through after seeing the feo and my variation back in september took six weeks and when i asked the feo on the 29th march he said the average wait time was about 6-8 weeks, but it might be a little longer as he is about to retire and a new person was taking over.

mine took 4 months depends how busy they are i done mine in december last year they said they are busy with renewals which take priority.atb

They're well behind mate. I got my s/g cert reminder in January and it runs out tomorrow.

Been on the phone about 4 times now and I received a temporary one in the post yesterday.

Did you send your app by registered post, just to check it hasn't been lost in post though?

Tu, sounds like i'm in for a long wait then I didn't send it by recorded, but i spose i could check to see if the cheque has cleared. Then at least i know they have recieved it.

Well, they have redeemed( if thats the right word) the cheque, so hopefully something is on the move.

Phone and ask, find out who the application has been assigned to and get their number. Don't hassle them to death but it's good to show an interest.

most forces cash the cheque mate. so i wouldnt get hopes up on that. as the guy in the last post said ring them and ask about turn around times.

dont feel you cant ring them. that is what there there for. atb with it

Mate its not even been a month yet! You have at least another month or so to

wait, at least. Mine took just under 3 months. The waiting is a pain and it

does seem to take forever but its worth it when you get it.

As this- try and be patient, it is difficult, but if you can, forget about it or the time will go mega slowly! By all means phone the licensing department to check progress but don't hassle them to death about it.

 

I've just received mine in the last few days and it took almost 4 moths to the day

 

In the grand scheme of things 4 months wait isn't all that when you consider how long you could potentially be shooting for once it's been granted.
