superfurryanimal 91
Instead of posting on here you should have phoned the vets small animals like ferrets go down hill so quickly and i dont think theres a qualified vet on here ?. he's posted on here for some advice, last time i went to a vet for worming tablets they wanted £26 to check the dog was o.k before they would give me some ! never in 30 yrs have i had a problem worming dogs ! i'd rather blow torch my nipples off than give my money to rip off vets ! if i thought they were in this trade for the best of animals then i would be the first to take they're advice ! but just look around they're car parks ! some of those bmw's, landrovers and mercedies have to be paid by someone ! I gave her the Milk, i am lettin her sleep indoors tonight. she has a bowl of water also. do you have any idea what could have caused these symptoms? is she drinking the milk ? have you been feeding fresh rabbit without gutting them ? Yes she was drinking it, and she seemed to enjoy it actually. I have not fed them fresh rabbit for a while. they have all been eating the same stuff and its the same that they have been usually eat, kibble and sometimes i mix cat food in with it. But like i said all the other ferrets are fine and acting normal. hia mate is the jill on heat ? how long have you been feeding dry food ? Edited April 21, 2011 by superfurryanimal Quote Link to post

Aye very good mate! let the wee thing die cause you don`t want to hand over cash to the vet,, genius!!!,, get rid oh yer animals mate !incase they really get hurt,, and suffer due to your pockets being to deep. Have a look at her gums,, if they have a blue tinge, think anemia,,and get her to the vet, this can happen if left in season to long without being brought out by a Hob or the Jab etc. try and get a little sugary water into her (water and honey maybe!, ATB let us know the outcome. 2 Quote Link to post

martnmagik 68
it could possibly be due to sudden change in temperature, hot during the day but still cool/damp at night,if she has been hot and slept out side of the usual sleeping area to cool down she may have caught a chill. just a thought. atb and hope she recovers. mart Quote Link to post
ferret lady 73
It's also possible that she may have a uterine infection, due to the open cervix. She needs to see a vet ASAP. Quote Link to post

baldockbanks courser 598
hold it firmly in one hand and give it a quick strike with a cosh. Ferret is out its misery, you dont have to waste a heap of money on a ten pound ferret and you can offer a home to one of the countless numbers of HEALTHY working jills looking for a home this time of year. a ferret is a working mans toll. look after them well but if they cant or wont carry out their task any longer Quote Link to post
dave1600d 35
.the ferret may be okay now,,we need updating,,it not right to look at it as ,,oh its only a ten pound ferret,,,,,dont just go smacking it over the head with a cosh ,,what kind of attitude is that?...least get the poor thing looked at..how would you like it if you had a shit day and someone knocked you on the head with a fuking cosh,,,,mind you,,after that remark,,perhaps its not a bad idea ,,, Edited April 22, 2011 by dave1600d Quote Link to post
