Rake aboot 4,936
Awrite! Just have to take the time to tame it, plenty handling will make it easier. Get to know the ferret well before working it. Is it a Jill or a Hob ?? both will be ready to mate at this time of year making them a bit unpredictable. Also the rabbits are breeding,,,so leave them alone !!.. ATB Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,936
Yup! they probably will. Best bet is to seperate them for a bit due to the fact they will both be in breeding condition, Unless they have been castrated,,which should be obvious. even though they may not be fighting now, you don`t want a nasty surprise waiting for you one morning in the shape of a dead or badly injured Hob, so best be safe and split them up for now. rob190364 2,594
Strange for it to run away from the warren, are you sure you weren't accidently trying to put it down a badger set or something? Both my ferrets were rescue ferrets and my jill was a nightmare when I first got her, took a good 4 or 5 weeks before she got used to me, and I mean she would try everything she could to bite me! But then eventually she trusted me and was fine, and that was the point where I could take her ferreting. You can't take a ferret hunting until it's totally OK with you or it's just going to be a pain in the ass. Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
I would guess that's probably how most ferrets get lost to be honest. Quote Link to post
