What is the smallest dog u have used to dig with I ask because I brought a patt x jrt bitch she is now 7 months and still tiny if I had never seen her parents myself I would say she was a_Chihuahua honestly the amount of people that has asked me why have I brought a Chihuahua she is a cracking dog and is game as fcuk she shows so much interest I just don't think she gonna grow anymore at the she weighs 3.9 kgs. I think she is purely gonna b a ratter which is a shame and it anoys me everytime I think about it. Just wondered how small of a dog have u dug with I'll try and get some pics of her up but can't seen to do it of my phone atb.

dont think she wont make a good earth dog, have had some very small terriers and they have had there good uses

you dont want a big dog mate when have u bin 2 a hole wid with a pack of hounds and they have asked for a big dog small dogs are better they can get up smaller holes

She'll be small by the sounds of things, but at 7 months old she's got a bit of weight to put on yet. Make sure she's looked after, wormed properly, and see what you get with her when she's older.

That pups still got a bit of growing to do but small terrier's can be very handy,just keep them out of rabbit holes as they can dig themselves in easilly,I had a bitch 8"tts and only weighed 9lb that could bolt a fox but if it did'nt go after 20mins she'd come out,she just never had the head size or weight but I had other terrier's that could finish the job properly,still they can be handy in places you should"nt be,is it snipey headed or boxey ??atb,wirralman

I'm in the same boat, my young bitch is tiny yet the sire is 15 inch and dam 13 . I was gutted that she won't make the size, but she will get the same chance to prove herself when the time is right

I just thought she won't grow that much more being 7 months she is 6in tts I'm just hoping that she fills out a bit more is there anything I could do ie change her diet supplements to give her a bit of a spert. Im still trying to get pic of her up but failing haha But as always I'm not gonna give up till u guys can see her atb

dont let size put you off give them time your dogs do not no that they are smaller than you would like .if they game they will not let you down trust your breed of dog

its all about how game they are ( to big to small try them and see )

one of the best bitch what i've ever seen is also looks as you described -to be honest she is as ugly as a dog can be-, she is 3kg. The weight means nothing.

Don’t worry about the size my old bitch was 10†to the shoulder but would stay forever she just didn’t have the size to finish the job but she never sustained any bad mauling’s she seemed to use her head more new her limitations I guess.

I like small dogs to be honest,if they are baying/bolting types that use their head size does'nt make much difference at all,just dont expect it to do things it physically cant
