We got a call from a friend at the weekend to go and help him out with a local job. It was a scorcher of a day, and made a nice change ratting with the sun beating down on us, normally its cold or raining. We'd not been there very long at all before the dogs were marking alongside a small stream that ran through the farm. As most of you know its not always easy ratting next to water, but nevertheless makes for an entertaining time It was difficult going at times, the rats had well and truly established themselves in the most difficult of places, as they do, between wall panels and under the floor in the barn in particular. We had an enjoyable morning there and are planning another visit one evening very soon.
