Guest game'dogs
The word thats been touted about in this thread morphed from the people who lived a certain lifestyle and yet chose to inform the authorities of other folk partaking in that lifestyle in order to gain an advantage. By this rational a "straight Go'er" cannot possibly be a "Grass" and becomes something of an oxymoron when used in relation to the initial poster. Some cultures stretch this point more than others and striaght go'ers can be deemed to have "Grassed" where a financial advantage was acheived whilst being thinly vieled to have been done on moral grounds. Non of this applies here. thats the best post yet :thumbs-up: ime not to keen on folk who grass but to me a grass is someone who is living in the same world as the grassed on , and is only doing so for financial advantges or to try and deal themselfs out of a sticky wickit . oneredtrim you explained it a lot better than i did but to them who couldnt work it out explaine it again but in a more understandable way :thumbs-up: . gnasher16 30,121
You can all dress it up whichever way you like...you either DO/DID pick the phone up to report somebody....or you DIDNT...its really not that complicated... Now charlotte if you made the decision to pick the phone up then thats your decision live with your decision...if your "family" as you mentioned were happy with that then so be it...if you have now decided that course of action is the wrong course of action and you wouldnt take it again then thats your call...i dont see where we are not on the same page...also..."once a grass always a grass"...can you please show me where i quoted this ?? We are all capable of change, some of yous who are doing me here for having my views may well one day not have the same views dpending on lifes experiences...some of you will continue to see grassing as ok your whole lives... As regards the question about the hit and run....a very similar situation to the one i presumed would be asked...my answer would be no i wouldnt phone with reg details...is me making a phone call going to help the kid with his injuries? if it would maybe id help...is it going to make the accident NOT happen in the first place ? if it would id help....you are talking about a crime that has already taken place...nobody can stop it happening its already happened!!..a paedo who is busy plotting his scum ways is in the process so yes do whatever you see fit to stop it,my way ive already explained. Fxxk me im not god,i cant stop crimes happening...i cant believe im having to justify myself for NOT grassing ....kind of somes it up really ! Ive had some nice little debates on here before, but im certainly not going to sit and be told im wrong for not grassing so i guess its easiest just to say " do what ever you like and whatever you think best "if grassing is your choice then your adults who have thought it through...i guess we,re just all made different. I cant think of a more appropriate time to say...WE,ll AGREE TO DISAGREE ! Edited February 13, 2007 by gnasher16
Foxgun Tom 75
Charlotte!! you tried to help a dog in distress therefore thats a point we'd all act on the organisation you contacted are a waste of space and in my book should be closed down as they destroy more healthy dogs they can re-home elsewhere?? you made a deciscion based strictly on the welfare issue re: the dog, for that you should be commended Find a Lurcher rescue like LB's and donate your £5 pounds a month to that Good luck Tom
mooster 1
I say this whole debate revolves around the word "grass" which you used at the start Charlotte. It's an imotive word same as snitch or informant- telling tales. All well and good slagging such people off until it's your kid being bullied at school then nobody will say who'se responsible through fear of being a grass. That can't be right. Old people beaten in care homes,a kid knocked over hit and run, etc etc.God help us if our society adopts the warped idea that its not worth saying anything cos it's already happened!!! You did right...you stood up for something which had no voice
