Rat in the Bedroom Saga........!

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to catch a rat (or rats) in a property for a week or so now and to date they have refused all anticoagulant baits and refused to go near the rat traps so lovingly baited with my irresistible formula. Any way I got a call today saying they think a rat was trapped on one of the bedrooms. After assuring me there was no way out of the room I duly arrived with my trusty ratting tool and the terrier. The room was the main bedroom but it was literally piled high with boxes, cases, clothes you name it so finding old ratty was going to prove difficult. To cut a very long story short............the terrier showed a lot of interest under the bed, this was packed with bedding and an old mattress. Moving a few items the rat bolted and went under the wardrobe……..dog just missed it. Right………wardrobe was full so had to empty it to move it………Knickers, Bras, Jeans etc. all were piled on the bed this was getting hard work.

Rat bolted as wardrobe was moved……….then we lost it. Searched all over but couldn't see it but the terrier was showing an interest in a chest of drawers with a mirror on top. I looked under and at the back but could see nothing………but she was telling me different. Then she did something unexpected…………..she stood up on her hind legs as if saying "Look up you tw*t , I did, and right at the top (a full 5 ft high) crouched the rat between mirror and wall. The rest was easy…………put the dog one side and me the other and I flicked it out towards the dog with the ratting stick, and it was caught before it hit the floor. It was barely half grown but it gave us and the dog a right run-around……..left the client to put the room back together again ………well it was only fair as I didn't know where the bra's and knickers went.

Sounds like a nice house to live in Rolfe :whistling:

and they wonder why the got rats

You dont have to live in a shit hole to get a rat in your house

It doesnt help prevent a rat infestation if Your house is a shit hole,I have being doing this job for a little while now, and have seen rats in places that were spotless, however when the home is untidy dirty or cluttered it is a lot harder to spot signs of them.
