Coyotehunter 689
You really can't go wrong with either of those two brands, i shoot canon but there's alot of lads and lasses on hear that shoot Nikon, i think on the whole Nikon's are slightly more expensive , but then some may argue that you get what you pay for !!! Coyotehunter 689
Thanks alot , nice website by the way , love the border pics Thanks Steve , i really need to update my site, i havn't put anything new on there for over 6 months, ive upgaded camera's since then and have what i think better shots to upload, my flickr page is much more recent . going back to the camera's, any of the Rebel range will take beautiful images, i still have my Rebel XT (350d ) as a back up and it still takes fantasic images, just go on to Flickr and put in Rebel xt (350D) and look at some if the shots taken with this camera, its seen as outdated but unless you want or need video and a slightly bigger screen, you'll save yourself a chunk of change going for an older model, yes the 600D has better iso , but if your not shooting a lot in poor light,, like i say i don't know too much about Nikon , a couple of my friends have them and seem happy enough with them, one friend has a D90 and he loves it another friend has a D300 and she really likes it, im also friends with a couple of Pro-photographers and they shoot Nikon D3x and Canon 1Dmk4 , so take your pick there's good and bad on both sides, generally if you started on film bodies and had lens' you tend to stick with the same make, i know i could use some of my old film bodies lens' on my Xt when i first got it, just to save a few quid hope this helps CH

Irishmac 5
Either will serve you well, happen to be a 21 year Canon user, but loads of people I know use the Nikon system. Its the person behind the camera makes the images work.
