Alex Arrigone 24
hi all, this post is about the most shocking and upsetting thing i have ever heard! ok, so me and scott were on out new pigeon permission which is at a stable. the owner told us he expected some negative rections but to take no notice of it. we understood and found that most people were happy for us to be there. it was going well and we were getting possitive rections. then out of the blue, a woman walked up to us and decided to put her pennies worth in. the conversation went like this: her - i just wanted to say that you two are decusting human beings, your pathetic for killing pigeons! us - i completely understand your point of view, however we've been tasked by the farm owner to dispatch the pigeons. her - your disgusting, if you want to shoot shit, join the army. us - i am in the army (because i am) her - well i hope you get shot in afghan then. us - excuse me, i lost 10 friends out there please have respect. (she walked off) her- good! as she walked off! i am a tolerant and disilplined person who doesnt rise to stuff. however,, that one of those low things to say that put me in a sate. we decided to be adult and walk off. as we cracked on and ignoring / avoiding them.... they kept on walking past us and making comments such as "no wonder we're not winning the war in afghan with pricks like you!", " you missed a sparrow there", " pathetic"... and so on, i understand and would completely get why she migtht be upset but,the comments about my experience in agfghan was completely out of order. it hurt beyond belief and if it wasnt for my good mate scott i'm sure i would have taught them a lesson. it shocked me how some poeple could be so ignorant and insensative considering what we have sacrificed for this country. the feeloing it left me with was one of unapretiation and betrail. i felt like risking my life for 7 months was for nothing. and all my mates i lost were for nothing. i didn t think a person was capable of being so incensative. lesson learnt... andyfr1968 772
Mate, I feel for you I really do, that's disgusting. I'm not forces but I've a fair few mate's who are or ex. I'm looking forward to seeing my mate Gary who's about to finish his tour of Afgan soon. Some of the stories he tells makes my toes turn and most folks, like that stupid, ignorant feckwit, have no clue, no idea and no respect. Rise above it, mate, folks like that don't deserve a second thought.... Take care, shoot well and stay safe. Cheers. Quote Link to post

Danny R-10 16
Disgusting horrible pathetic woman, dont know how you kept your hands off her mate. Every person I know, and that is a considerable amount think our lads and lasses are doing a great job in Afghanistan. So who the hell she represents I dont know, keep the vermin control going and stick at it, regardless of what idiots like that think. The ironic thing is, it is because of our armed forces that this country is free and has free speech, perhaps she should remember that. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our armed forces who risk there lives daily to keep us safe. ATB Danny Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Just think, what would happen if you did not control those pigeons, just remind her and her ignorant friends that if you do not do something about it then sdhe had better watch out for Histoplasmosis (fatal lung disease), Cryptococcosis (fatal nerve disease), Encephalitis (another fatal nerve/brain disease), Salmonellosis and E Coli (good this innit?). Say if she wants her horse to die in agony, over several days and costing a fortune to treat then you will quite happily stop shooting the vermin that are attacking the horse food. Then explain to her seeing as it was her who stopped you, the land owner will not be lliable, nor will you, however as it is she who has interfered with and instructed you not to shoot then it is her financial obligation to repay the costs of treatment and animal replacement for anybody who can trace an illness in themselves or any animals they have there to the pigeons! Should scare the crap out of her worse than an Afghan with a drainpipe (excuse that one, I know you are Army) or the realisation she just picked up gold top milk instead of urine thin soya crap! Thanks for all you have done, I know it is not our war, you did not sign up to fight out there, but somehow you did and thanks for all the damned hard and brutal work you and the forces do out there and here as well! markha 99
Bud, you did the right thing in walking away and being calm and diplomatic, should feel proud of that. Remember Karma is always at work and she will get her share of it, you may be lucky and be able to witness that happen, maybe, however its just as good knowing that one day shit will fly back at her. Perhaps a pigeon will spook a rabbit in to bolting at her horse, which then throws her off, the rest of her fated injuries will then be up to Karma Quote Link to post

Fair play mate, you are a lot more tolerant than me!! after her first insult i would have explained that you are operating within the law, then till her to F**K off and mind her own business ok i know its not politicly correct but if you give it you must take it!! Any way Well Done!! LD Quote Link to post
PeakOil 352
Best thing you can do is remain very calm, polite, unload guns and pop em in slips and don't react to her baiting. Once the nasty murdering man with the gun says anything threatening or vaguely intimidating mad cows like that will be on the blower to the old bill, wailing that a dangerous man with a massive sniper machine gun has pointed the gun at them and threatened to blow their head off etc. It boils their piss even more if you remain polite and calm in the face of their deranged ranting.
