novice 25
How did you preserve the velvet on your trophies fellas? Do you need to use any special chemicals/processes? Quote Link to post
Guest gypo joe
You must be shooting VERY early as they are still well in velvet the bucks i shoot are all clean in the first week in april which is the start of the season Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Amateurs through and through .Why shoot it in the velvit if a trophy is required .Just as well admit it . Quote Link to post
chay 0
Amateurs through and through .Why shoot it in the velvit if a trophy is required .Just as well admit it . yea right enough, if your after a trophy i would have thought you would wait till the velvets off and correct me if im wrong but if it was medal potential do you get more points for it colouring after its pale immediately after velvet. but then again im sure in scotland you can shoot them whenever as long as its something to do with crop damage or the likes.well done anyway whatever your reasons Quote Link to post

Hense the reason me asking him when it was shot because all my bucks had cleaned their velvet by March Quote Link to post
