salmon and seatrout

Recommended Posts

The rivers are starting to rise in temp now most of the snow melt is past but we could do with some rain for fresh fish in most upper beats most of the kelts that made it will be back to sea now due to some big water with the first of the snow melt around march and we have had some good numbers and big fish entering most systems now I have an invite for a cast this week on one of the most prelifc spring beats in the country

I have tied a few secret weapons and hopefully hook into some of the first of the seatrout to be starting to show

Has anyone had any yet and how are the numbers looking on your river hopefully its as good as season as last we had numbers of fish in most rivers on the East of Scotland that have not been seen since the eighties

We had huge numbers of finnock in the easturies giveing good sport on a small rod and light tackle ...now these fish have overed wintered at sea This looks like being a very good season

Sea trout are a great fish, I look forward to them every year, fortunately where I live they are in huge numbers despite the crazy endless netting and wastage of them that goes on each season.

I took some in the sea last year on the fly, Top Sport :victory:

The Mullet is just as close in fighting and sporting quality, and excellent on Ye Olde bread fly...
