falcongit 242
went out this morning at about 5.00am and got to my permmision at 5.45am,i spotted the deers walking about,i got fairly close to them to have a look till they seen me and ran of across the field,i carried on walking down the hedge row i as i was going to go across the field i spotted a hare pop its ears up in the corn field,i had to jump across the dyke but still got my foot wet slipping down the bank trying to grab something to stop me slipping in .this hare was along way across the field so had to get down on my belly and crawl some 30 yards which hurt like hell with the ground being so hard and the big lumps of soil i had to crawl over, anyway i get to about 20 metres from him and he started to move away from me and i was surprised to see another one near him i did not see that one at all it was well hidden, they both moved at least 35 to 40 metresaway from me,great i was thinking i normaly shoot hares at about 25 to 30 metres away not much more than that,so i decided to try the 40 metre shot which i dont do unless its paper targets, got nice and settled and did my breathing and sent the pellet on its way,got him straigte down fantastic shot my first 40 metre shot on a hare i was well pleased went over and picked him up after i had took the photo......check the pics out.... symon Quote Link to post
