Morning all , av been phoning me local vets in Sunderland to get me Hob viscectimised (the snip) . They have told me £65 plus after treatment care , does anybody know of cheaper or can get a lend of a Hob that fires blanks and info would help thanks all . Ryhope Toma

hi mate thats cheap for a vacectomy are you sure they are not quoting you for a castration which is a much less complicated job ?

we paid £90 for our vacectomy but got quoted about £60 for a castration a lot of the vets didn't have a clue to be honest they didn't even know you could get a ferret vasectomised so make sure your vet is 100% sure of what you want

just had mine done a few weeks ago for £60 and as for after care, there is none really, other than keeping an eye on the wound for infection.

paid that about 8 year ago, so sounds alright to me mate got mine done at the white lion vets in south hetton

£60 is a good price mate I got mine done earlier this year initial cost was £59..

 

But bare in mind that its advised that you wait 3 weeks + before putting him in with the jills as there can still be old sperm in his tubes.

i paid for my 2 one had them off and other had the snip, the price included after care which has been said is just a check on the wound
