baw 4,360
So out of a litter of say seven pups 5 being dark couloured and two being white id bet the dark ones get picked first. Probably, but after 5 years of running, I'll bet the 2 white ones are equal to the rest and let's face it, this is what it is all about. Quote Link to post

I agree and in some cases the white ones have turned out better dogs. Quote Link to post

baw 4,360
Only a problem if your poaching and some one is shining a lamp to try and find you when your hiding from them I think I'd spot a dogs eye from a mile away anyhow. Depends which way it's facing If your dog doesn't look around when a lamp gets shone, you have bigger problems that the colour of your dog. Quote Link to post

tote 854
During the daytime if your on non permission a white dog sticks out like a sore thumb from miles away so it will be spotted by the farmer/keeper a lot easier than say a brindle one. Agreed but a black dog also stands out more during the day than a brindle one. Quote Link to post

heart of wales 19
Biggest load of codswallop Ive ever heard the ammount of times someone said that to me over the Years I would just look at them and smile, wouldnt have swapped him for five Black blue fawn or any colour dogs, the used to call him the white shark he very rarely missed, when he did I was shocked. Makes a hell of difference when you have got a million candle watt lamp and a darker coloured dog mind CCI12022009_00000.bmp Quote Link to post
