comanche 3,077
For a budget working tool that might not be as stylish as some of the otherCZs but would do the job just as well I'd go for a second hand Brno/Cz 2E model. I'm biased coz that's what I did damn near thirty years ago have never regretted it .A mate sold one recently for £175 with a moderator and scope and said it was like parting with an old friend . The Silhouette would probably be my choice If I was buying today . Edited April 16, 2011 by comanche Quote Link to post
rogue male 8
After much research i bought a CZ452 SILHOUETTE with a SAK moderator, topped off with a Hawke Nite Eye 3-9-50 Illum scope. Had a Rimfire Magic Trigger conversion kit added just to complete it. We're going to be spending some long enjoyable nights together over the comming months of Spring/Summer. Can't wait, superb rifle. Had a rabbit on Fri night that we lazered at 86yds. Spot on. Will be investing in a couple of spare mags though as if you lose one your snookered without a spare. I'm hoping that this rifle will be like my Africa Twin motorcycle, in that ive had loads of bikes over the years but she'll always be a keeper. Quote Link to post

sibaldib 6
Any of the 452 models are excellent. I've had my .22LR for over 20 years and it has been fantastic. I recently bought a CZ452 .17HMR which was the Style model and that also is great. Steve Henderson (professional pest controller in Northumberland) swears by his Silhouette model with a SAK moderator. Whichever one you get, you will not go far wrong. Cheers Sib Quote Link to post
Dan_Smiff 2
I have a CZ style with SAK mod and have been very happy with it, well made for the money (cost me £295 new 3 years ago). I have the 16 inch barrel version which is an ideal length, I shoot from the truck alot so the shorter the better (I'm not paying to have it any shorter though!). Quote Link to post
