deffo cockchafer grub....nightmare on lawns ,they live just below the surface and eat the lawn roots...when you have it bad the lawn will just peel back like carpet,then the urban foxes realse theres a tasty meal under the turf and dig up your lawn

Nice little grub that...I have one of those here, amazing how they survive... :thumbs:

 

 

100% a cockchafer larva if it was found in the soil; one that big could be three years old. They matrure slowly and can cause devilry in the garden if there are a few of them in a small area: They eat into the roots of shrubs and large plants and damage them considerably. Did you chuck it over the fence...? :whistling:

You won't beleive it but the wife buried it again as she thought it was a Dragon Fly Larvae :rolleyes:. The only "Dragon" fly she'll ever see fly is when I launch her out of the bedroom window :angel:.

 

No doubt about it when god made brains she thought he said trains and asked for a extra slow one :wacko:.
