You can do as many searches on the net as you want fieldsman and read whatever you want to help you come to your conclusions which seems to be that mag boxes do not work. I on the other hand have gain

trust me i got the mag hound+spire when you use for treatin your self and it works theres no delt plus when ya mates av used it on there self and end up buyin them it says somethink. i use mine on

they are brilliant and help a dog no end watch how your dog runs to get in it my greyhounds rush and try to get in it all at once. and they certainly help to sort out any knocks strains or bunmps woul

Im only reporting what I found out yesterday by trying to shift one for a fella and I couldnt beleive how many people DONT rate them.

If its true that theres no concrete eveidence they work its pretty shocking.

If I would have bought this last week id be on here defending it to the hilt too, because no one likes to think they have been cohned, untill yesterday I had no reason to doubt them, but just because the "top" coursing and racing men have them only proves that they have more money than most and will buy anything if they think it can give them the edge, which is understandable because if your going to do something you always trie to do it well.

perhaps this is the reason so many have been sold!

Good thread.

I had a Whippet X Grew that knocked up a toe I took it to Alf Pennicook who was an owner of Open class Greyhounds, he had a hand held ultra sonic machine that cost a lot of money, the Dog had a full course of treatment, and unfortunately I cant say I noticed any difference.

I think the main problem is some folk buy them thinking they can put their injured dog on/in them for a couple of sessions & it will be fit to run.

You only have to read threads on here where dogs have reoccuring lameness because the problem isn't treated properly or they are only given a week or so rest.

My understanding of them from talking to people who use them regular, is exactly what Moll has said . . . they speed up healing by increasing blood flow. They will not turn your lame dog into a first class athlete over night, but if that lame dog was going to take 6 months to heal with a Mag box your looking at halfing the time. A good friend of mine uses the magnetic pads in her work every day, she's an equine chiropractor and treats the British event team and the household cavalry.

ive had a few mag boxes over the years they are just an expensive cage

Forley cup 2000 : It never got ran off on the 1st day and 6 dogs (the millenium 6 ) had to run again the following day after killing 4 a piece . After a night in a local hotel , the 6 owners tended to their dogs in the morning . Most of them were stiff . Alan s took Blondie out of her mag box and she was bouncing ! She went on to kill her next 2 and win the cup against the best line up ever !! Blondie was an excellent bitch , conditioned by an excellent dog man, but the box helped.

you dont know that was the mag box "stubble" that made her run well thats just what you think.

that says more about blondie than the mag box. unless someone can prove 100% they can not surley comment.

its a bit like saying foxys collar had magical powers and because another dog didnt wear it on the dayof a match with her it must have been the collar that won it, its not sintific at all just what some one thinks.

What im saying is, the other dogs who was not put into a mag box after the first day ,were stiff in the morning. Mag box definately relaxes the dog which aids recovery . If they dont do anything for the dog , explaine why they fight to get in it , as Boyo said earlier ? Magnetic field therapy like acupuncture and other homeopathic remedies will always have people that doubt them but a lot of them do work.

if some of you dont rate them fair enough but dont you think all the top coursers and champion greyhound trainers know what they are doing .the big majority wouldnt be without them and ask any greyhound vet ambout the benefits of them.if you got your dog top match or race fit its easier to keep them there if you use a mag boxi have found the benifits huge but if you think its all bullshit what people write about them carry on its everyones own choice .

alf pennicuik was a good dog man who knew what he was doing with dog injuries. he rated porta-mag boxes highly. ive had my lurchers which have been stiff as boards or badly knocked coming out of a box after a couple of hours like a new dog. people say its all in the mind but i believe they work and will continue to use them in the future. all the best guys and happy hunting for next year
