Hi all,

my lurcher bitch has broken a rib and the vet has told me to see how it goes but she is in pain. Is there anything i can give her to ease it a little without breaking the bank. the vet says there is nothing he can give her.

 

any help would be much appreciated

The vet says there is nothing he can give her??! :icon_eek: what a w :censored:ker! There's plenty of painkillers for dogs: Norocarp (Rimadyl) is the most comonly used one. I'd try asking your vet if he has heard of it!! :realmad:

When our Springer was injured, we gave him Ibuprofen.....at the vets request, seemed to work. Eased pain and took down any swelling.

 

Seek advice first though...this was about 2 years ago!!!!!

 

 

Our eldest Rotties takes mine, you can buy this for a couple of quid at any chemist type place and just work out the dosage/ratio compared to us humans, our Stella has never been so mobile and if you feel you need professional advice, there is an online vet type site to be had, that you'd find via Google etc............Al :thumbs-up:
