shepp 2,285
I have a Hawke scope which I am on the whole pleased with but one thing I have noticed is that I have to view it quite far away from the eye piece. I let someone else use it at my rifle club and he was practically touching the scope with his eye. I think I could get an aim on something quicker if I was closer to the scope. Does anybody know why this is the case and do scopes vary in this respect. Quote Link to post
Alex Arrigone 24
eye relief varies from person to person and on the type of scope as well. i would adjust the eye relief of your scope to what is correct and confortable to you. i dont know the reason behind why it varies from person to person though. hope this helps a bit. atb. alex Quote Link to post
clubshot 22
Many Shooters are not aware that most Scopes have Rear Eye Adjustment Also set their scopes far to close to eye - Would be interesting if a powder Burner - Again it comes back to experience - BOB/R Quote Link to post
