Have seen this done, and it's not the way to go. Keep massaging the crop with the bird upside down, and spoon feed a tea spoon of olive oil (Gently) down the birds throat. Or warn water they don't like it but they can die unless cleared, a vet will cut the crop and stitch it and stitch you up for £ or so. chimp 299 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Share Posted April 23, 2011 i had this problem a while ago and posted on here , i have read about cutting the crop open and stitching but i didnt really want to go down the route , half teaspoon of olive oil and massage the lump , it did break down but always seems to be there and the chicken has been about for a year now. first thing is to starve it for 24 hours but leave plenty of water Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Joker . you silly ferret . go a pay the vets or risk looseing your bird . ive kept old english game since i was a sprog.your causeing more stress massaging the crop .and f*****g about with it .like i say it takes 5 mins neat cut .empty crop .
