HUnter_zero 58
I was offered a 54 reg L200 last year for £1900, full service history and in perfect nick. Called just about every insurance company I could. Most would not insure it. Adrian Flux was the cheapest at just under £500. The road tax was a killer as well. I got talking to one of the call centre staff and asked why L200's are so expensive to insure. She said it was due to the "school run". Turns out that when the L200's became popular the mothers were using them for the School run, obviously it's not exactly a nippy run around which resulted in many claims, which in turn made the L200 a high risk in non-commercial hands and thus costs to insure. She did say that on commercial insurance I'd be paying around £250 fully comp, however once you use your private no claims bonus on a commercial policy there is no bringing it back, so if you ever wanted a non-commercial vehicle you would have zero no claims bonus.
