rob190364 2,594
My lurcher pup eats sticks and bits of wood, she does it all the time when I'm out. And she isn't just chewing it she swallows it aswell. The mastiff I had when she was a very young pup used to rip pieces of wood and branches to pieces but not actually eat them and I was wondering if she's seen him doing it and is just copying (thinking he's eating it), or if there's a genuine reason why she does it. It doesn't seem to cause any harm and just passes right through her, but I don't know if it'd build up in the intestines over time and cause problems further down the line? I've never had a dog do this before, has anyone else? or does anyone know if it is something I need to put a stop to?
MissRhianL 70
Hiya, being a pup its guna want to try and eat everything and anything same as babys everythin they can grab is in for a taster lol. some pups go through stages like some pups will eat slugs and believe it or not some will eat sheep sh*it, dog sh*t and possibly their own. For some unknown reason they do it. Some will grow out of it others never will. Easiest thing to do if you do want to stop it, just give it some disipline or some command to try and distract her from doin it. all the best Rhian
Attack Fell Terrier 864
Give it a smack across the ass and tell it not too. A belly full of sticks and chewed up wood can't be any good for the pup.
