heanoid 1
is it just me or is their less stuff to hunt and more people hunting it ? the rabbits round here have done one (for the past two years) very occasionally see the odd fox, only deer are roadkill doesnt help living in a semi urban enviroment i suppose, but with the price of petrol what it is travelling to work is costing me enough so driving round for miles looking for permission doesn't seem viable any more, loads of people on here looking and waiting for permission plus the ones we all know !! its getting me down a bit chaps seriously thinking of jacking it all in there are just too many people on to small an island doing the same thing (just like my other hobby 'motorcycles'... bloody speed cameras )keep your eyes peeled on the for 'sale section' for my guns and a shed load of gear......decision coming soon

Boysie 12
Rabbit, game meat, and all these 'thrifty' cheap cuts of meat that Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall has been going on about for the last few years has caused more people to be interested in wild food, thus more people are hunting and selling it for a smaller, more competitive price, to chefs who charge redicules amounts to middle class people wanting a taste of British heritage. My point is, if you're doing it because your heart is in it, chances are you're going to get heart broken.
Boysie 12
Although, saying that, I've noticed a huge increase in rabbits round here over the last year. Seems everyone is shooting/ferreting/etc the well known and 'proven' spots, instead of actually looking at where the rabbits are. But I suppose that says a lot about the types of people who are hunting these spots, all about cents not sense
