sighthound123 31
When a dog gets taken to the vets its knows whats going to happen. when the needle goes in they know what happening and its not nice. A bullet to the head is far quicker and the dog has never went through the experience of knowing its going to die. In my opinion its more humane, if it wasnt im sure by now people shooting animals such as fox in the wild would be using a dart gun to kill the animal because its more "humane" the only thing about shooting a dog in the field that people don't like is the blood Quote Link to post

Catcher 1 639
I think most poeple these day get a pup and dont have a clue on how to train it.They go and buy a book or two thinking this is law. They dont relise a book is only a guide line on dos or donts and most are diffrent,Depending who wrote it.It may work for the basics for a few mouth. Then a teenage dog will start playing up.Most times we see it on here is my dog will not respond to recall. So they read the book. Not knowing all dogs have different temperaments. So they think the dog has no pottencial. And if it did they are to dumb to see it.Becuase all these people are looking for are numbers. They love to brag about how many it can take in any day or night. And if they cant train a pup. They try to buy a good one. About three dogs a year.We all know some one who dose it.Most so call dead wood are pups under a year old.And it down to fools who dont have a clue.atvb Catcher. 1 Quote Link to post

trenchfoot 4,243
What a man does with his dogs is a matter for his own conscience. The best of breeding over the years has created great animals, but in these times of easy come, easy go, folk are taking on dogs without little thought as to suitability, breeding etc. If you are that serious about YOUR need for the very best of performers, then your choice of cur warrants long and deep research. Not some spur of the moment purchase of what you THINK you want, then end up with a pig in a poke. that only fuels the fires of messers breeding shite for the sake of a quick buck. Many people have consider their dogs to be a reflection of they're selves, so if you consider a dog to "just a tool", then be prepared for the fall out 2 Quote Link to post
